This course is designed for beginners and those who wish to improve their camera skills. The different functions of the camera are explained. Participants are explained the relationship between the aperture, shutter speed and sensitivity - ISO -.
The course covers lighting, composition and how to achieve correct exposure to improve the quality of your photographs.
The use of lenses and filters used in B&W and colour photography are discussed. Participants work on a location with the tutor.

Digital files are downloaded and discussed. Films are developed and printed in a local lab ready to discussed through constructive appraisal on the second day.

A third day (Monday) can be added to the course. This additional day is for the participants who wish to make black & white prints from their own negatives. The tutor gives
advise at each stage of the printing process
